Last month Halcyon Lake had the pleasure to take part and feature in a curated design walking tour of Sydney’s leafy Surry Hills. Organised by the design retailers of the area: Fred International, Royal Oak Floors, K5 Furniture, Est Lighting, and the Green Room, the tour was specially tailored for the Architecture and Design community. Exploring five showrooms, the walk highlighted the latest trends in lighting, furniture and design. The tour concluded at Fred International, where we showcased our Chromatic Collection for the first time in Sydney.

The Chromatic range is a testament to the beauty of time-honoured weaving techniques from Central Anatolia, Turkey. This collection introduces four designs that reimagine classic border and check patterns, infusing them with subtle tonal nuances, intricate detailing, and our signature flat woven edge. Meticulously woven, each rug undergoes an extensive seven-step washing process, revealing the natural sheen and variegation of the wool. The Chromatic rug collection perfectly captures the fusion of simplicity and craftsmanship, encapsulating the essence of dedication and artistry that goes into each rug.
