Tulu 2
Traditionally woven in the Eastern region of Konya in Turkey. Tulu rugs are characterised by their long and colourful pile made from the lustrous strands of the local Angora goats. Living in the nearby desert plains and mountains, their wool is thick, soft and naturally wavy, giving Tulu carpets a distinctive shaggy appearance. These rugs were traditionally woven as blankets, bed covers and floor coverings to protect their owners from the cold winter nights in the desert.
