Rework III
A limited edition rug series made entirely out of recycled materials from antique and vintage rugs that could no longer be repaired. Hand-knotted in Turkey, the collection is the result of a sustainable production process giving a new life to rugs that would have otherwise been discarded. Offcuts and salvaged rugs are first collected then grouped by materials such as natural wool, cotton, goat hair and hemp before their piles are unravelled into threads. The recycled yarn is then washed and spun into balls, ready for weaving the contemporary line-work patterns which blend old with new.
