Our hand-knotted Gabra collection highlights the remarkable skills of nomadic tribes from Fars, a region in south-west Iran. Traditional dyeing and knotting techniques are used with fully vegetable-dyed wool and natural hemp. These methods and materials create a depth of colour and texture that combine to result in a rug that is as luxurious as it is durable.

No other method can replicate the finish of a hand-knotted rug, the original rug manufacturing technique. Each fibre is carefully placed by hand, neatly and methodically, by artisans relying on skill alone to create the finished product – no glue, nor stitching. Each piece takes an average of three to four months to weave.
